Art is HOT, and glassblowing is particularly HOT.
Experiences for everyone 8 and older. (Children under 8 years old are not allowed in the hot shop where furnaces are 1,800 to 2,100°F., no exceptions.)
​
Glassblowing is not recommended for expecting mothers in the third trimester or for others who have particular sensitivities to heat.
​
Please let us know in advance if you have any mobility, hearing or sight issues. We make every effort to accomodate people with disabilities, but you must be able to walk independently, be in a high-heat environment (the hot shop is generally 20-30 degrees HOTTER than outside temperatures), see, and understand our verbal instructions in English (please bring an ASL interpreter with you if you are hearing impaired).

If you are pregnant or have any other health issues, please check with your doctor before signing up for an experience or workshop. We must have a signed Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability form on file before allowing you into the glassblowing studio.

Get blown away by the magic of molten glass! Feel the heat as our resident glassblower shapes glowing molten glass into one-of-a-kind creations. This centuries-old craft comes alive before your eyes in a thrilling blend of fire, breath, and artistry you won’t forget.
We're the only glassblowing studio in Fredericksburg and we're family & leashed-dog friendly. Saturdays – hours vary (see below for experiences and demos dates and hours). Reservations for demos are not required. Onsite gallery features 20+ local, regional and visiting artists.
