Through the end of July, 25% of sales proceeds from blown and fused glass, garden art, textile art and more will be donated to relief efforts following the devastating flood in Kerr County.
Paul and Holly Simonette, owners of the Purple Shack Makers Gallery & Fredericksburg Glassblowing at EFR, announced that local, regional and visiting artists who have consigned work to the Purple Shack Makers Gallery will donate 25% of their sales proceeds to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and Hill Country Arts Foundation.

“We are heartbroken and praying for our neighboring communities and artists impacted by the devastating floods in Kerr County,” said Holly Simonette, EFR co-owner. “We wanted to do something to help those dealing with the tragic loss of life and property throughout our neighboring communities. Paul is also helping with onsite recovery efforts in Ingram as a volunteer firefighter with Willow City VFD. We are so pleased that our artists are joining us in this fundraising effort.”
The Purple Shack Makers Gallery features hand-blown and fused glass, fabric art, pottery, photography, jewelry, yarn, and hand-woven items created by local, regional and visiting artists. The gallery will be open extended hours through July 25, Thursday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and by appointment by calling (830) 321-7991.
On Saturday, July 26, artwork by the participating artists will be available at the “Sip & Shop” event at Texas Wine Collective, 10354 US-290, Fredericksburg.
In addition to the Purple Shack Makers Gallery being open, Fredericksburg Glassblowing at EFR will be open for the public to watch free demos until 3 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through July 25. Please arrive by 2:30 p.m. to watch demos at the only glassblowing studio in Fredericksburg.
